How cancellations, modifications, and refunds are handled for bookings made through Make Memories.

Home  /  Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective Date: 27 August 2026

At Make Memories, we understand that travel plans can sometimes change due to personal circumstances, emergencies, changes in schedules, or unforeseen events. Since tour packages involve advance arrangements with hotels, transport providers, airlines, activity operators, local partners, and other travel suppliers, cancellation and refund conditions may vary depending on the services included in your booking. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the general terms applicable to cancellations, modifications, and refunds for bookings made through Make Memories.

1

Applicability

This policy applies to tour packages, customized holidays, hotel bookings, transportation arrangements, sightseeing services, activities, transfers, and other travel services booked through Make Memories.

The specific cancellation and refund conditions applicable to your booking will be communicated at the time of quotation or booking confirmation and may vary depending on the supplier and destination.

Where a booking-specific cancellation policy has been provided, that policy will take precedence over the general terms stated on this page to the extent permitted by applicable law.

2

Customer Cancellation

A customer wishing to cancel a booking must contact Make Memories through the official contact details or communication channel used for the booking.

Cancellation requests should preferably be submitted in writing so that the date and time of the request can be recorded.

Cancellation charges will be calculated based on the applicable booking conditions and the cancellation policies of the relevant service providers.

The amount refundable, if any, may depend on:

  • The date on which the cancellation request is received.
  • The departure or travel date.
  • Hotel and accommodation cancellation rules.
  • Airline, railway, cruise, or transport cancellation rules.
  • Activity and sightseeing provider policies.
  • Destination-specific supplier terms.
  • Peak-season or special-event restrictions.
  • Non-refundable components of the booking.
  • Any applicable administrative or service charges.
3

Non-Refundable Services

Certain travel components may be completely or partially non-refundable. These may include, depending on the booking:

  • Non-refundable hotel reservations.
  • Airline or other transport tickets.
  • Special-event bookings.
  • Activity or attraction tickets.
  • Advance payments made to local suppliers.
  • Visa or documentation charges.
  • Special arrangements.
  • Promotional or discounted bookings.
  • Last-minute bookings.
  • Services specifically identified as non-refundable at the time of booking.

Where a service provider does not refund an amount paid to Make Memories, the corresponding amount may not be refundable to the customer, subject to applicable law.

4

Cancellation Before Departure

Cancellation charges generally increase as the travel date approaches because suppliers may impose higher cancellation penalties or retain advance payments.

The exact applicable cancellation amount will be communicated or calculated based on the terms applicable to the confirmed booking.

Customers are encouraged to review the cancellation terms before making payment.

5

Cancellation After the Trip Has Started

Once the trip has commenced, unused services are generally not refundable unless the applicable supplier agrees to provide a refund or Make Memories is otherwise required to provide one under applicable law.

No refund may be available for voluntarily unused hotel nights, sightseeing, meals, transportation, activities, transfers, or other services where the supplier does not provide a refund.

6

No-Show

If a traveller fails to arrive for a confirmed hotel, transportation service, activity, transfer, or other booked service without prior notice, the booking may be treated as a "No-Show."

No-show charges or non-refundable conditions imposed by the relevant service provider may apply.

7

Date Changes and Booking Modifications

Customers may request changes to travel dates, hotel categories, destinations, number of travellers, sightseeing arrangements, transportation, or other itinerary elements.

Changes are subject to availability and supplier approval.

Additional charges may include supplier amendment fees, fare differences, hotel rate differences, transportation charges, administrative charges, or other applicable costs.

A date change may also be treated as a cancellation and new booking where required by the relevant supplier.

8

Cancellation by Make Memories

In exceptional circumstances, Make Memories may need to cancel or significantly modify a travel service because of operational difficulties, supplier cancellation, government restrictions, natural events, severe weather, transportation disruption, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Where possible, Make Memories will attempt to offer an alternative arrangement.

If a refund becomes applicable, it will be processed according to the amount actually recoverable from the relevant service providers and the terms applicable to the booking, subject to applicable law.

9

Force Majeure and Unforeseen Events

Events such as natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, epidemics, government restrictions, strikes, political disturbances, war, terrorism, border restrictions, transportation disruptions, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control may affect travel arrangements.

In such cases, Make Memories will make reasonable efforts to assist travellers with available alternatives, rescheduling, credits, or refunds where offered by suppliers.

Refund eligibility will depend on the applicable supplier policies and the amount recoverable from the relevant service providers, subject to applicable law.

10

Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, Make Memories will initiate the refund after completing the applicable cancellation and supplier settlement process.

The time required for a refund may vary depending on the payment method, banking institution, payment gateway, airline, hotel, transport provider, or other service supplier.

Refunds will generally be made through the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or required.

Any applicable bank charges, payment gateway charges, supplier deductions, cancellation charges, taxes, or other non-refundable amounts may be deducted where permitted under the applicable booking terms.

11

Refund for Partial or Unused Services

If a traveller voluntarily chooses not to use part of a confirmed package, the unused component is not automatically refundable.

Any refund for unused services will depend on whether the relevant supplier provides a refund and whether the booking terms permit such a refund.

12

Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

If a customer accidentally makes a duplicate payment or an incorrect payment, the customer should contact Make Memories as soon as possible.

After verification, any eligible excess payment may be refunded after deducting applicable transaction or processing charges, where permitted.

13

Booking Deposits and Advance Payments

Advance payments are used to secure travel arrangements with suppliers and may become partially or fully non-refundable once bookings are confirmed.

The refundability of any advance payment will therefore depend on the applicable booking terms and supplier cancellation conditions communicated to the customer.

14

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for reviewing their booking confirmation, itinerary, travel dates, passenger details, hotel information, transportation details, visa requirements, and cancellation conditions.

Customers should contact Make Memories promptly if they identify an error or need to modify or cancel their booking.
